Currently the editor of The Cottager, a magazine about lake living in Manitoba and Northwest Ontario, Barbara Edie has provided editorial direction and content for various trade and association magazines.

In addition to her magazine editing experience, Barbara Edie edited Planting the Seed of Hope, a 200-page book celebrating prairie life, as well as Dugald Train Disaster: Memories from 1947, a collection of stories and first-hand accounts about this tragic event in Manitoba history.
